The extension collects nothing about you. It has no analytics, no telemetry, no accounts and no advertising. Nothing you read, search for or click is recorded or sent to us — we have no server that could receive it.
Only your own settings, kept in your browser's local extension storage on your device:
This never leaves your device, is not synced to us, and is deleted when you remove the extension.
Stated in full, because "we don't collect data" should be checkable:
syp-search.pages.dev.
This is not the book. The index is a word list — which words appear on which
page numbers — plus the chapter titles. It contains no sentences, no page text and no
snippets, and it cannot be used to read the book. The extension downloads that
one book's index, named by the book's public id, and then matches your query
against it on your device. Your search words are never sent anywhere.
That is also why a hosted result shows only a page number and its chapter — there is
no text on the server to quote from.localhost:8010, searches go to it. That is your machine
talking to itself; nothing leaves it.The extension loads no remote code and runs only on
satyamyogaprasad.net and localhost:8010.
The extension asks for nothing, so it collects nothing from anyone of any age. It never
touches passwords, payment details, location, health information or your browsing history.
Its Firefox manifest declares data_collection_permissions: none, which Firefox
shows you before you install.
If this ever changes, this page changes with it and the date above moves. Questions or doubts are welcome — and are public, which is the point: open an issue.
